Hi everyone!!!!
TODAY, THIS SITE HAS OFFICIALLY TURNED ONE YEARS OLD!!!!! I cannot believe that we actually did it! I have been blogging for one year and it has been the weirdest and most eye opening year ever. I looked at my timehop this morning and I shared my first ever blog post. I read it today and looking back at that and where we are now...lets just say a lot has changed!
This blog was made to give me another area of media to explore and I wanted to do it because it looked fun to create something of your own and write all your own little diary entry posts to look back on a few years later! When I started out, all I saw it as was to put little posts up whenever I wanted and share a few beauty things that I liked with everyone who read etc. I didn't know how much time it would take to put in so much detail to make a post look good!
Only for a few months now I have followed a schedule of having two posts a week (give or take sometimes) and following one blog post and one beauty post. At first it was fine and I could come up with different weekly beauty ideas to share and I was really busy generally and I had a lot to blog about.
However, it hasn't always been easy to do these different posts. I don't know how I managed to cope with weekly posts during GCSEs but I think around September when everything began to change, everything else became a lot more harder to keep on top of!! There has been many low points over the past year, when I was back at school quite a few people did take the mick out of me doing this, I would get sarcastic comments and I would always have people talking about it behind my back. But looking back now, it really shouldn't of bothered me that much. They were giving me page views and more people were hearing about it so it wasn't all bad in the end really! But to anyone who starts out, you are going to get comments and people are going to take the mick because its something that not really anyone does - but in the end that all wears off. Now that I'm at college, not everyone will read it but the people that do know are all doing the same course as me and enjoy the same type of thing!
One thing I will always remember now and a tip to someone who wants to begin a blog is that views are not everything. If you enjoy something, keep doing it. They haven't been amazing as they were at the start granted - but that hasn't stopped me. I did get to a point that where I was going to stop completely as I wasn't getting the results I wanted but I'm so glad I didn't! Another thing is that not everyone will keep up to date with it or be as supportive as you'd hoped, but thats all okay. I don't expect anyone to have read this religiously or at all really and I knew this wouldn't be an overnight sensation!
So now, I'd like to thank all of you who have read a fair good posts of mine over the year and even if you've only read one or two - thanks as well! It has had a small part of keeping me going on the blog. I'd also like to thank Jasmine over at A Cupcake For My Thoughts. She has helped me so much over the year with what to do if I wanted to make something more exciting or how to use this site when I started and she has been the biggest inspiration for this blog and I really cannot thank her enough!
So yeah... Happy one year to this!
