2015 - lessons learned:

Hi everyone!

Once again, it has come to the end of the year and I become VERY reflective and nostalgic on what has happened over the course of the year. It has been very fun and a LOT has happened (you know the usual for a period of 12 months) along with the multiple events that have happened - I've learnt quite a bit!
(Looking back at images from this year has seriously made me question if it was even this year or not - can't believe how much I've been up to!)

I'm going to list some advice that I aim to give myself for 2016 - sort of like New Years resolutions or more like inspirational statements that I may or may not look at next year...(Knowing me I'll probably forget I've even written this!)

1) Stop doubting yourself

I think every piece of work I have produced this year (through college and life in general) theres been that little thought in the back of my mind saying "its not good enough" or "it could've been better". But then once I've shown it to others and they say that its perfectly fine. I think when creating something of your own, you will always notice the little mistakes here and there.  But this doesn't mean everyone will see it and you will always end up surprising yourself!

2) Take chances!

I'm starting to remind myself of this one daily! Any opportunity given to you - take it! Life's too short to worry about it too much and not do it because you're unsure. Whats the worst that could happen? I've spent far too long regretting things that I didn't say yes to and it wasn't until I went to Ghana in 2011, that I wanted to trust my instincts and just do it (not trying to be Shia LaBeouf here...)

3) Do things that make YOU happy

Whether its linked with the previous statement or who you become friends with or what you decide to do with your life - its what you want to do and as long as you're happy with your decision, go straight ahead with it! Stop worrying about what others say and just do whatever makes you happy!

4) Enjoy every moment as it comes

I'm a very nostalgic person - I will more likely live in the past and the memories that have already happened, rather than living in the present. As Ferris Bueler once said "if you don't stop to look around, you might miss it." I feel like I'm stopping too much and looking a bit too far back, so I'm missing the things in my life that are happening now! Slowly, I am beginning to look forward to the present/future - but I still have a long way to go yet!

So as this year comes to a close, I am happy with how this year has gone! I just can't believe its all over (soon anyways!) To all of you reading, have a lovely Christmas (or a few days off!) and a Happy New Year. I don't know when it'll be but as always:

See you in the next blog post,
