Another trip to London

Hi everyone!

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend since the weather is starting to pick up a bit, its finally starting to feel like Spring!

Finally, I've actually had a day out after a few months - I think the last post about a day out was around January when me and my family went on the cable cars at the O2. Anyways, recently it was my dads birthday and I had little to none clue on what to get him that was in budget and enjoyable for him to do! Anyways, I stumbled upon FromtheBoxOffice.com and found tickets to go see The Commitments live in London. They were at such a good price and it seemed stupid not to go!

(if you want to know what The Commitments is about - then I've summed it up a bit, but if you're yet to see it - skip this paragraph!)
The Commitments is an Irish film that was released in 1991 about a band put together by a mediocre manager (Jimmy Rabbite) who lives and breathes soul music. He puts together the best people he knows but they all have VERY different personalities against one another. The band becomes a success after their first rehearsal and they come up with the name: The Commitments. After touring around Ireland for a bit, the band finally falls apart due to all the different personalities clashing and causing many members to leave. (Spoilers, sorry!)

So after the film was a huge success, the original band from the film began to tour together and their most recent tour was in 2011. Anyways, the film got put on stage and this year they've put the show back on in London (with different actors obviously!) And honestly, it was more amazing than the film in my opinion! All the performers fitted the characters perfectly and after the show, they did a little concert at the end of all the hits too! It was a very fun filled night and I recommend anyone to see it, even if they've never seen the film! I'll leave you with some links of the videos from the film (courtesy of YouTube) and some pictures from Saturday :)
See you in the next blog post,
