Sweet 16

Hi everyone!

This weeks blog post is going to be all about my 16th birthday this week. I done quite a bit and received some lovely presents and I was completely overwhelmed with all the goodies and treats I got given on my special day! I'll keep it short & sweet for you all as well!

Enjoy!

Hair!

So on the day before my birthday, I was going to do something that I never had done before. I decided that I finally had the guts to dye my hair! I've never really thought about it, or I've always said "I like my colour" or whatever. But for a while now I had been debating whether to getting ombré hair. I fell in love when Zoella got it done and I was always thinking "Would that suit me?" It did take a while to come to a decision, as I didn't want it to look like I just dipped my hair into some bleach and have a straight thick line running through my hair!

I got home, greeted by my lovely hairdresser and I thought "This is it!" You're probably thinking why I'm getting all nervous about dying my hair, but putting peroxide bleach on the ends of your hair isn't the best for it! However, after 2 hours my ombré was complete! I love it so much and it looks fairly natural (well my dad didn't even notice so it can't look too bad!)

Here's the final result:

Birthday!

And now it was my birthday! So I received a lot of birthday wishes throughout the day at school (if you were one of them, thank you!) But I also received this:

I received this from my two wonderful close friends (Emily & Amy) and they had filled it with images of us three from sleepovers, days out etc. But on the back of these photos there were dates of when we did these things & what was included on the night. I had to guess each one, but it really touched my heart of how much thought went into it! (See images below)
It was so carefully thought out and it was an amazing present to receive, thank you so much girls!

After being at school for a whole 6 hours, I had cheerleading which is great to have on your birthday! Then I came home utterly shattered but extremely happy at the same time. Then out of the blue, my godmother came over (well, she and my mum had planned it) and I received a gorgeous bracelet. After being stuffed by chicken fajitas and birthday cake, it was the end of a lovely lovely birthday!

Birthday meal

Before the meal, I received a belated (but wonderful) present from my two other wonderful close friends Kat & Chloe. They had filled a photo album of all these photos from our memories altogether. Another heart warming present and it was lovely, so thank you girlies!

After finishing school early, I got home, ate some birthday chocolate and ran a bath with a bath bomb from Lush (part of a present from my mystery box) and it smelt a-maz-ing. After soaking and washing my hair I began to get ready for my meal out for my birthday with my friends (Kat, Emily, Amy, Jasmine (my blogging buddy) and Chloe.)

I used my new heated hair rollers to do my hair. To be honest, I had no clue how to use them and I did end up with multiple burns all over my hands HOWEVER, they worked brilliantly (thank you Mum & Dad!) Heres the results:

Then all of my friends turned up and we headed off to Cambridge! We went to WildWood (an Italian restaurant which I love!) And I was surprised that large balloons were on our table! We had a lovely starter and I happily tucked into a Hoi Sin duck pizza. We all had a lovely conversation talking about everyone and everything, we all said that in 10 years time we're going to do it again!
And that was it! I have had a lovely birthday this year and I couldn't of asked for anything to be different. Thank you to all my family and friends, it was a really special few days.

Now, I'm off to go stuff my face with all my food I got for my birthday and when you see me I'll be the size of two houses!

See you in the next blog post,
Grace x
