Talking to myself: Views on GCSEs

Hi everyone!

Finally, a blog post! Not some DIY that I wanted to share. I've been waiting to post this for weeks, but obviously I had to do it once all my GCSEs were out the way! Before I get into this, let me just give you a little backstory of this name (etc, etc.)

I've decided to make a small series (I don't know what its called on blog terms) called "Talking to myself". I want to be able to put my thoughts and feelings out on the blog, but I didn't want it to be a spur of the moment thing (you following so far?) So I decided to name and create a section on my blog about things I've been thinking about for weeks and want to share them with you!

Phew, now thats out the way shall I get on with the actual reason for this post?
So, I've sat through about 18 exams for the past 4 weeks (well I've experienced 22 GCSE exams in my lifetime.) And to be completely honest, they haven't been TOO bad.

Before sitting the exams, I can tell you I was so incredibly nervous and stressed (hence the dealing with stress post a few weeks back.) Just like everyone, I want to well in these exams and thats what made me more nervous knowing that my life could actually depend on these examinations!

Over the four week period, almost every day would be taken over by revision. And the result? Well, my room was covered top to bottom with post it notes and posters. And I spent the longest period of time on SAMLearning than I had for over the 5 years I've had it!

I know that before doing these exams or finals are something that no one ever really wants to do, but in all honesty they really aren't too bad! And that's coming from someone who literally was incredibly nervous about taking the exams! If you want to succeed well in them (and this sounds so cliché) but seriously do revision and prepare yourself, then you know that you've tried your hardest and have done the best to your abilities!

Well, I hope this has come across okay for you all please let me know if I should continue this Talking to myself section for the blog! On Monday, I should be posting a part 2 of my view on GCSEs so stay tuned til then!

See you in the next blog post,

Grace x

Very well written and it's good to put your words down and share your feelings makes others realise nothing is that bad.
