Hi everyone!
For Christmas, I brought my dad tickets to go to The Gadget Show convention as we're both lovers of everything technical and the show itself. I thought I would put this post together to show you what we got up to and bits of tech that we got from the day.
Below is a video that I've put together from the footage from my GoPro of what we got up to on the day!

So I'll sum up the video with a bit of blurb down here!
We started off looking at the audio area which was right at the start of the convention space. There were hundreds of amazing looking speakers (I really liked the statue ones!) and crazy how some people are coming up with unique ideas for new for speakers in cars and around the house. I was then pulled aside by my dad to take part in the young driver's section of the convention - as you can tell by the video: I can't drive. I wasn't keen on doing it from the start but I queued...and queued...and queued (2 hours of queueing) for a 5 minute drive...Was it worth it? Probably not. But the company who organised it sounds really good and I wish I heard about them sooner! It was like drone city from that part onwards, we watched Parrot drones be controlled by a computer, little drone being flown between crowds and even large ones with cameras to be sent outside for filming projects! After walking around for 6 hours, we went to see the live show with all the presenters comparing tech and showing off some new bits - which was all really fun (I also got a picture with two of them!)
It was such a great day and I definitely reccommend you to attend if you enjoy bits of tech and don't even watch the show! There's so much on offer and it definitely shows a glimpse of the technology which will be the norm in the future!
We couldn't walk away empty handed so we decided to get a couple of gadgets...

BrizTech VR
This little piece of tech was the first we picked up. Virtual reality is becoming a thing now and it is SO expensive to get your hands on equipment which allows you to view the software. However, we picked up this cardboard box which cost us £12 and we can do virtual reality for practically nothing. It fits phones 5" or more and you can download apps, put this on your face and be transformed into another world! It's really great fun, with headphones as well you can really be immersed into something completely different.
iFit Vue
So, as you've learnt from this post - I don't drive. I walk everywhere or get on public transport if I really need to get somewhere fast and easily. As everything is close by, it means that I'm walking all day everyday and these steps will add up eventually. My mum bought a Garmin watch a few months prior and it counts steps and mile coverage. I was interested in buying something with a cheaper price tag to motivate me more to do something a bit more active. Whilst we were there I was talked into buying this gadget: the iFit Vue.
It counts steps, miles covered, calorie intake, how many calories you've burned, records my sleep pattern and even analyses my workouts (whenever I get round to doing one!) It's been a real eye opener for me as I have a lot more control on what I eat, persuading me to walk most days to college instead of getting the bus and making me feel a bit more better about myself! I got this for £49.99 and I think it's the best money I've spent (look how pretty the colour is as well!) It can also be removed from its watch strap and it connects to your phone so you can see all your analytics!

FG Outside Drone
Yep. We bought a drone. My dad has wanted a drone for weeks prior to this, and when being bombarded with drones left right and centre - he couldn't resist. It's so powerful and really great fun to play with, the blades don't cut into your calves or hands as they're protected by styrofoam!
And there was my little recap of the weekend. As I said it was great fun and we're looking forward to going next year!
