Hi everyone!
As you know last year me and my friend Aimee took up the challenge of giving up everything sweet during the month of March, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.(Last year's blog post here!) Our aim was to raise a little bit of money as well as some more awareness for this amazing charity. Needless to say, we both went the whole month without anything sweet and we hit our target too!
The first two weeks were HELL, I always end my lunchtime with something sweet to keep me energised and the fact that it's being taken away for a month (at first) made me feel constantly craving for chocolate! But weirdly, the beginning of the third week of the month I didn't even think about anything sweet to keep me going. Instead I put alternatives in place to keep me going! Let's hope I can manage that again this year.
It was strange on the morning of April 1st last year, I ate my first chocolate bar after the month and I hated the taste of it! Strange how my tastebuds changed over the course of March. However - the hatred didn't last long that's for sure!

Now once again this year, Aimee and I spoke about doing it again...Without realising that Easter falls in March this year - what have we let ourselves in for?! Regardless we're still going to take on the challenge second year in a row and this time we've recruited two more girls who want to take on the challenge with us - so this time round there is more pressure to ensure that I don't let the other girls down!
We've set up a JustGiving page once again and our target has gone up to £200 (yikes!) You can click through to it here.
I would like some money to be raised because it helps a lot with charities - especially one that is close to my heart (you can read why I want to do this challenge on last years blog post about Dechox 2015!) But more than ever awareness is the key part for this challenge over the next month. The fact that any heart disease can strike anyone at anytime (trust me I would know!) does shake me a bit - so supporting and spreading awareness of an amazing charity really helps.
Anyways - this year I will check in on here at the end of each week to see how I'm doing (I think this would be highly funny to look back at!)
